₯Hideyoshi Toyotomi went to Kokura with troops
for the Shimazu suppression in March, 1587.
And, Hideyoshi divided 250,000 armies into
two, and he went from Hizen to Higoji.
Hideyoshi took a rest in the place of Kurosaki,
Akama, and YamanokuchiTouge that had gotten
over a pass.Sen-no-rikyu got cold springing
water by the guide of the elderly person
in land. Hideyoshi drank this delicious
water. And, Hideyoshi said "Don't
forget the taste of this water" to
Rikyu. ₯Hideyoshi governed Kyushu in May,
placed the base in HacozakiGu, and stayed
for about one month. Hideyoshi had taken
a rest here before the Yama-no-kuchi pass
passed again. And, he seems to have been
very pleased to drink this water.It seemed
to have come to call this water "Taikou-mizu" since
then. ₯Taikou-mizu remains in other Wakamatsu
Ward, Munakata City, Shingu cho, Fukuoka
City west district, Nijo town, Chinzei
